Animal Spirits

Just doodlin some animal spirits that live in the forest.

Theres pockets of forest scattered at different areas and different climate zones.

Elder tree spirits everywhere but in seclusion, where they protect them.

Endangered they are!

Calathea

First painting of 2010!

This is Calathea, another one of the elder tree spirits

She controls most of the Northern tropical borders of the

forest, where she renews the boundaries to keep outside

visitors out. She has her spiritual minions to do her bidding

great quote from a documentary about Mongolia

'Mankind plunders the earth for her treasures,

thus driving the spirits away. We pray to bring them back'

gonna work that into the story!

Many of the forest spirits come out to see what all the commotion is about.

Heart of the forest

My first Painter painting! definitely gonna be using it more often.

May even switch over to it completely!
Story: A representative of the outsiders has come asking for help
The elder tree outright refuses, since they've been killing their people for thousands of years.
The forest dwellers also look on in disgust. D:

hmm not so sure about the functionality of some of them, but I learnt lots. If anyone has any tips, shout'em out!

This was originally for artorder, but I caught a cold, and didn't make it in time. Well I still intend to finsh those other ones too. Need to practice drawing buildings!

Permafrost! for Spellwars. Haven't done an environment in ages!

Assassins

I spoke to Jason Chan at the workshop (while being very nervous)

he gave me some very valuable advice. I never noticed before, but some
of my work tends tobe very impressionistic. He saw that I could render
stuff to a finished state though and suggested I just had to do more of it.
